HOW PANEL WIDTH WORKS

French pleats gather the fabric, so the option you pick is the finished pleated width on the rod. Half panel covers about 20–23″, a single panel 50–52″, and the wider options combine panels for larger windows. Measure the width you want covered, pick the closest option, and put your exact width × length (to 1/4 inch) in the cart note — we sew to your numbers.

HOW TO MEASURE

Hanging on rings? Install the rod and rings first, then measure. Inside mount: width inside the window opening, edge to edge; height from the bottom of the rings down to the sill. Outside mount: width of your rod end to end (not the finials); height from the bottom of the rings to where you want the panel to end. Use a steel tape measure and round to the nearest 1/8 inch — step-by-step diagrams for both mounts are in the photos, and we sew exactly to your numbers.

FAQ — SIZING, PLEATS, CARE

Is the price per panel or per pair?
The price follows the width option you choose — each option states its finished coverage. For a classic pair on one window, choose the width that matches each half and order two.

What length should a café curtain be?
A café curtain usually covers the lower half of the window. If your panels hang on rings, measure from the bottom of the rings down to the sill and order that length — we sew each panel to your exact numbers, to a quarter of an inch. Measuring guides for inside and outside mount are in the photos.

Can I choose a different pleat style?
Yes — we sew all three styles shown in the photos: French pleat, double pleat and inverted pleat, at the same price. Write your choice in the cart note at checkout; without a note we sew the classic French pleat this listing is named after. A rod pocket is also available on request at no charge.

What if the size or colour isn't right? Custom items aren't returnable.
We make it right: order fabric samples first to see the linen in your own light — the cost is credited to your order — and if anything is wrong on our side, we remake it.

How do I wash them?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang to dry, iron on medium. OEKO-TEX certified linen softens with washing and holds its colour well.
