How swatches work

  • 1. Pick your fabrics

    Choose up to 10 from the fabric library and list them at checkout — fabric name and colour. Can't find one? Email us the shade listing you like and we'll cut that too.

  • 2. We cut, we mail

    Real cuts from the bolts we sew with — not printed cards. Cut and posted within 1–3 business days.

  • 3. Judge them in your light

    Tape a swatch to the window frame. Look at 8 a.m., look at 8 p.m. When one keeps winning, order your shade with that fabric name.

Why fabric first

Four things a screen can't show you

The undertone — “white” linen runs warm or cool, and your walls will tell you which.
The hand — weight and drape you can only feel.
The light — how much sun comes through at noon, and with lining, how little.
The scale — how a weave or pattern reads next to your trim, not in a product photo.

Questions about swatches

Are the swatches really free?

The swatches are — you only cover the flat $30 shipping, which is what it costs us to get them to you. When you order your shade, we credit the full $30 back, so the set ends up costing nothing.

How many fabrics can I try?

Up to 10 per set. If you're between two whites, take both — undertones are exactly what swatches are for.

How fast do they arrive?

We cut and post within 1–3 business days. Transit depends on your address; most US and Canadian orders arrive within a week.

Do I send them back?

No. Keep them — label them, tape them into your project folder, hold them against paint chips.

The fabric I want isn't in the listing

Email loganovastar@gmail.com with a link to the shade listing and the colour — we'll cut a swatch of that exact fabric.

What happens after I choose?

Measure with our guide (we show you how), order the shade, and we sew it to your size in 10 days or less. Delivery is separate — typically 7–14 days depending on destination.
