SHEER LINEN-BLEND RIPPLE FOLD DRAPERY — MADE TO YOUR TRACK, SEWN WITHIN 1/4 INCH
Brent is a sheer ripple fold drapery panel in a linen-blend cloth, cut and sewn to the width of your track and the length of your wall. Daylight comes through it as a soft, warm haze; the folds stand in an even S-curve from end to end instead of bunching at the stack. Nothing is hemmed down from a stock size.
The fabric is 116 inches wide and we railroad it, so the weave runs across your window instead of up it. One panel covers the full drop with no vertical seam, at every width we offer, in lengths up to 108 inches. The header is snap tape at double fullness, ready to clip onto ripple fold carriers.
We are Aspect Creative Agency in Toronto, and we have been making window textiles since 2005. My team and I cut and sew every panel in our own workroom — no factory in the middle, no markup for the word "custom."

THE FABRIC — BRENT, FROM ALENDEL'S TUSCANY BOOK
Brent is a wide-width drapery sheer: 54% linen, 32% cotton, 14% polyester. The linen and cotton give it the slub and the warm, irregular texture of a natural cloth; the small polyester share is what keeps a long panel hanging straight instead of relaxing out of shape over a season. It filters daylight rather than blocking it.
- Content: 54% linen, 32% cotton, 14% polyester
- Width: 116 inches, railroaded
- Weight: 0.69 lb per yard
- Flame rating: CAL 117/SE
- No vertical or horizontal repeat — the weave runs plain both ways, so colour matches cleanly panel to panel
Ten colours: Brent Horizon, Brent Mushroom, Brent Candle, Brent Almond, Brent Frozen, Brent Elephant, Brent Castle, Brent Violet, Brent Abyss and Brent Moss — from the palest cream through warm beiges and greys to a soft sage, a muted mauve and a sea-glass green.
Pick yours from the colour swatches at the top of this page. Every colour is the same price, so the number you see does not change with your choice. Screen colour is a guide, not a match — a sheer looks different in your own light.

THREE WAYS TO ORDER IT
Unlined. The cloth on its own. Most light, most texture — the weave reads as a soft haze from inside. After dark, with the room lit, shapes are visible from outside: this is a light-filtering sheer, not a privacy panel.
Sheer lining. A voile layer behind the face cloth. Keeps the airy look, adds body so the ripple folds sit crisper, and evens out the colour against bright glass. Same price as privacy lining.
Privacy lining. A polycotton backing for real daytime and evening privacy, while the Brent face still gives the room its texture. Same price as sheer lining. We do not offer blackout on Brent — a dark backing cancels the translucency that makes this cloth worth having.

HOW TO MEASURE — THE SHORT VERSION
Not sure where to start? We filmed a couple of short videos to walk you through it.

1. COLOUR: choose one of the ten Brent swatches at the top of the page. They all cost the same. If you are deciding between two, order the samples first.
2. WIDTH + LINING: Measure your rod or track end to end. Pick the width at or above that number in the "Width" menu, choose Unlined, Sheer lining or Privacy lining in the "Lining" menu, then type your exact measurement in the "Coverage width" box — we sew to your number, not to the menu step.
That width is what the panel covers once it's gathered on the rod. We build the fullness in for you, so don't multiply anything.
Want two panels that meet in the middle? Measure your rod, divide by two, and order two panels at that size. A 100" rod is two panels at 50" each. The menu always means one panel, not the whole window.
3. LENGTH: this one depends on your rod.
Buying the rod from us along with the sheer? Then don't measure the drop at all. Just tell us how high the rod is going up — how far off the floor it will sit — and we'll work the length out for you and cut it to match. Put that number in the "Height" box and add a line in Order notes saying it is the rod height.
Using a rod you already have? Then tell us the finished length you want: from the top of the panel down to where it should stop. Put that number in the "Height" box.
We make lengths up to 108 inches. Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch — we take the deductions for you and sew your panel to your size within 1/4 inch.
Still unsure? Message us with your window and we'll walk you through it before you order anything.

SEE THE FABRIC FIRST
A sheer changes completely between a north window and a south one. Order fabric samples and look at Brent in the room it is going into. We don't charge for the samples themselves — you only cover the shipping, and that cost is credited back when you place your order.

HARDWARE AND HOW-TO - WATCH BEFORE YOU ORDER
Ripple fold panels only hang correctly on the right track. We filmed the four questions we get most:

We make the track in the same workroom and cut it to your length. You need a track with ripple fold carriers — the carriers clip into the snap tape on the panel. These take Brent panels:

Already own a track? Send us the brand before you order and we will tell you whether our snap tape fits it.

MADE TO ORDER
Nothing here sits on a shelf. Your panel is cut after you order, to the numbers you gave us, and ships in 10 days or less, direct from our Toronto workroom.
Custom items aren't returnable — so we make it right: order fabric samples first (the cost is credited to your order), we confirm your dimensions before we cut, and we remake anything wrong on our side.

CARE
Brent is a washable cloth: machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, mild drying, do not bleach, iron low at a maximum of 110°C. It can also be dry cleaned.
Unlined panels: washable at 30°C at your own risk; dry cleaning highly recommended — a full-length panel is too large to handle properly in a home machine, and the snap tape header keeps its shape best when it is not tumbled.
Lined panels (sheer or privacy lining): Dry cleaning highly recommended.

SHIPPING, DUTIES AND CUSTOMS
Ships from our Toronto workroom with UPS, with tracking and signature required. Free shipping to USA and Canada.
Under the CUSMA / USMCA free trade agreement, tariffs do not apply to this order. UPS may still charge a small brokerage and document-processing fee at the border — usually around $10 USD. That fee is charged by the carrier for the customs crossing, not by us.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What hardware do I need to hang a ripple fold sheer?
A track fitted with ripple fold carriers. The snap tape is already sewn onto the panel; the carriers on your track have to be the ripple fold type that clips into it. A standard rod with rings or grommets will not hold the even S-curve. Already own a track? Send us the brand before you order.
Is Brent 100% linen?
No — it is a linen blend: 54% linen, 32% cotton, 14% polyester. You get the texture and slub of linen, with a little polyester so a long panel hangs straight.
Will people see in at night?
Unlined, yes — shapes show through when the room is lit. Choose privacy lining if you need cover after dark; sheer lining softens the view but stays translucent.
Can you make a panel wider or longer than the sizes listed?
Often yes — message us before you order. The menu covers up to 130 inches wide and 108 inches long, which is what we can sew in one seamless panel. Beyond that we quote it by email and set up a draft order for you by hand.
Can I return a custom panel if the colour isn't right?
Custom panels aren't returnable, because yours is cut and sewn to your numbers — so order the fabric samples first. You only cover the shipping, and that cost is credited back when you order. Anything wrong on our side, we remake.

Odd window? A corner, a bay, a ceiling track across a whole wall — send me the photo and the numbers and I'll tell you honestly what it needs. I check every order myself before it ships.
