Elton Vine Relaxed Roman Shade — Belgian Linen, Soft Blue, Custom Size

A relaxed Roman shade cut from Belgian linen printed with the Elton Vine design — a soft blue ground with a trailing white vine. Every shade is made to order in our Toronto workroom and sewn to your window, not to a stock size.

Classic Relaxed construction. There are no rods or rod pockets in the front fabric — the rods are sewn into the lining layer on the back, so the face of the shade stays clean. With polycotton lining, light passing through gently highlights the rods behind; with full blackout you won't see them at all. There are no horizontal stitch lines: a few small hand stitches hold the front fabric and lining together and give the shade its straight lines when raised. For blackout, the shade is first made with white polycotton lining and a separate full-blackout layer is added, so the front fabric keeps its original colour.

Your shade includes: chain mechanism (or cordless / motorized, your choice), a weighted bar in the bottom hem, piping across the top, and free side flats for outside-mounted shades. Mechanism, brackets, screws and printed installation instructions ship in the box.

Lining. Choose polycotton for a softly filtered light, or blackout where you need the room dark. Blackout is available on every size.

A note on width. For shades wider than 50" in this fabric, the shade is constructed with two symmetrical side seams — one on each side, mirrored from the centre — to achieve your custom width. On patterned fabrics the design is carefully pattern-matched across seams.

Custom fabric. This design is printed to order. If you would like the same shade in a different Spoonflower pattern, or in organic cotton, velvet, linen-cotton canvas or satin rather than Belgian linen, message us for a quote — we are happy to build it.

When you order, please tell us: your measurements (width first, then height); which side you want the control on, left or right; and whether the shade is mounting inside or outside the window frame.

Child safety. Corded window coverings can pose a strangulation hazard to young children. Keep cords out of reach, or choose our cordless or motorized option.
