Made to order in our Toronto workroom · 1/8″ stitching precision · 20 years of craft
A flat-fold Roman shade in semi-sheer white linen woven with soft grey stripes — it filters daylight, keeps privacy, and gives a tailored, structured look to a bathroom, kitchen or bedroom window. Handmade in our Toronto workroom with 1/8″ stitching precision, made to your exact measurements at no extra cost.
- Fabric: Gothic Stripe Grey — 100% linen, semi-sheer, white ground with woven grey stripes
- Fold: classic flat — rod pockets sewn with two front seams create a clean relief and straight horizontal lines as the shade rises
- Control: chain — child-safe, with a safety chain lock and tensioner included
- Lining: sheer or polycotton; blackout available — we add a separate back layer for full light protection
- Made to order · ships in 10 days or less · free shipping in North America · free side flats for outside-mount shades
- Sewn by our seamstresses and checked by a textile engineer with 20+ years at the bench
With polycotton lining, daylight passing through highlights the rods for a soft striped relief; with blackout lining the lines disappear but the crisp relief stays. Horizontal stitches hold the front fabric and lining together and keep the lines straight every time the shade goes up.
FAQ
Will it fit my window? Yes — each shade is sewn to your exact measurements within 1/8 inch, and we take the inside-mount deductions for you. Send your sizes and we confirm everything with you before we cut.
What if I can't return a custom shade? Custom items aren't returnable, so we de-risk it up front: order fabric swatches first, approve the measurements with us, and if a mistake is on our side, we remake it.
How long does it take? Most orders ship in 10 days or less, direct from our Toronto workroom. Most custom window treatments take six to eight weeks.
Why does it cost more than a boxed shade? Because it is cut and sewn for your window from European linen by the people who make it — no middleman, and it is made to last years.
