Will a custom Roman shade fit my window?

Yes. Send your measurements and we will show you how to take them. Every shade is cut and sewn to your exact window within 1/4" (a quarter of an inch), and we send an approval sketch before we cut. If our mistake makes it wrong, we remake it.

How long does a made-to-order Roman shade take?

Your shade is made to order in our Toronto workroom and ships in 10 days or less. Most custom window treatments take six to eight weeks; ours do not.

Can I return a custom shade?

Custom means it is made for your window, so returns are not available. That is why we double-check sizing with you first and send an approval sketch before cutting. 2,000+ five-star reviews, and if it is our error, we make it right.

Do you offer blackout lining and cordless options?

Yes. Choose soft blackout or dim-out lining, and chain or cordless operation. Cordless is a child-safe choice for nurseries and bedrooms.

A relaxed Roman shade in Lugano faux linen — the soft smile along the bottom edge that makes a window look dressed rather than covered. Each one is cut, sewn and squared by hand in our Toronto workroom to the measurements you give us, to 1/8 of an inch.

Fabric

Lugano is a faux linen: 100% polyester woven to read like real linen — the same slub and quiet texture — but it hangs straighter, resists creasing and keeps its colour in a sunny window. Light filtering: daylight comes through softened and warm, and the room keeps its privacy through the day.

Eight colours: Lugano White, Champagne, Barley, Antique, Mink, Aluminum, Spray and Winter Sky.

How it works

Chain mechanism — a continuous-loop bead chain on the side you choose, with the child-safety tension device that anchors the loop to the wall or frame. The shade lifts in soft folds and stacks neatly at the top.

Mounting

Inside mount (inside the window opening, for a tailored recessed look) or outside mount (on the wall or frame above, to cover more glass and block more side light). The headrail, brackets, screws and step-by-step instructions are all in the box — most customers install it themselves with a drill and a level.

Measuring

Width first, then height. For an inside mount, measure the opening at the top, middle and bottom and give us the narrowest figure — we make the deductions for clearance. For an outside mount, add 2–3 inches on each side and 3–4 inches above the opening. If you are between size bands, choose the band your finished size falls into.

Not sure about the colour?

Order a swatch before you commit. Screens shift colour, and Lugano reads differently in north light than in afternoon sun. A swatch on your own wall for a day settles it.

Every shade is cut for your window, so it is made after you order and ships within 10 days. Care: dust with a soft brush or vacuum on low; spot-clean with a damp cloth; dry-clean only.
