A plain shade hides in the window. This one does not. A 1″ border in a contrasting fabric runs up both sides, set in 2″ from the edge — far enough that it reads as a deliberate line rather than a hem, close enough that it frames the fabric instead of cutting it. It is the detail that makes a window look designed.

Relaxed construction. No rods and no rod pockets in the face fabric, so the bottom hem falls in a soft smile instead of a straight line. The rods sit in the lining at the back, and a few small hand stitches hold face and lining together — those stitches are what keep the folds straight when the shade goes up.

  • Face fabric in five colours across three ranges: Far Polar, Far Ivory, Toronto Cotton, Toronto Snow, Fluid Ivory
  • 1″ finished contrast border, inset 2″, on both sides — border colour is yours to choose, tell me at checkout
  • Opaque, with a prominent linen texture; 120″ fabric width, so most windows take a single seamless panel
  • Chain mechanism, smooth and precise
  • Polycotton lining included; full blackout available as an add-on
  • Weighted bar in the bottom hem, piping along the top
  • Mechanism, brackets, screws and installation instructions in the box
  • Made to order in Toronto. Ships in 10 days or less. Free shipping.

Sizes run to 82″ wide and 82″ long, in ranges — pick the range your window falls into and send me the exact measurements. Width first, then height. If you are between ranges or unsure, message me before you order; measuring is the one step where a second opinion is worth more than a return policy, and this shade is made only once, for your window.

Care: washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle, low iron to 110°C, mild drying, dry-cleanable. Do not bleach.

Order swatches first if you are choosing between the whites — Polar, Ivory, Cotton and Snow look nearly identical on a screen and not at all alike on a wall at four in the afternoon.

Message me. Almost anything is possible.
