A relaxed Roman shade in Sorrento Italian sheer linen — light, airy and softly translucent, with a gentle curve at the hem. Daylight fills the room while the weave softens the view. Three natural colours: Sand, Grafite and Natural. Cut and sewn to your window, by hand, in our Toronto workroom.
How the classic relaxed shade is built. There are no rods (plastic inserts) or rod pockets in the front fabric layer; instead the rods are sewn into the lining layer on the back. With a sheer fabric, light passes through and softly outlines the rods — it's part of the shade's airy character. There are no horizontal stitches — only several small handmade stitches hold the front fabric and the lining together, and those same stitches help the shade fall into straight lines when it goes up.
Choose your lining. Sheer lining keeps the full translucency — the shade stays light-filled from morning to evening. Privacy (polycotton) adds daytime privacy while keeping the soft linen glow. A sheer fabric is made to let light through, so we don't offer blackout here — for a dark bedroom, look at our lined linen Roman shades instead.

Measuring and tolerance. Measure with a steel tape to the nearest 1/8″ and give us the width first, then the height. We sew to 1/4″ precision — linen is a soft material, and a quarter inch is what it truly holds. Tell us your control side (left or right) and whether the shade is mounting inside or outside the window frame.
Worried it won't fit? Send your measurements — we'll show you how to take them — and we double-check sizing with you before we cut. Custom means no returns, and that's exactly why we check first; if a mistake is ours, we remake it.
Fabric samples. We don't charge for the fabric samples themselves — you only cover the shipping. And when you place your order, that cost is credited back to you.
