Yes — each shade is sewn to your exact measurements within 1/8 inch, and we take the inside-mount deductions for you. Measure width and height in three places, send us the numbers with your order, and follow our how-to-measure video if you are unsure.

What if I can't return a custom shade?
Custom items aren't returnable — so we make it right: order fabric swatches first to confirm colour and translucency, and we remake anything that's wrong on our side. That promise has carried us through 12 years and thousands of custom windows.

How long until it ships?
Most orders ship in 10 days or less, direct from our Toronto workroom — compared with the industry's usual 6–8 weeks for custom window treatments. Shipping is free across North America, and brackets, screws and installation instructions come in the package.

Which lining should I choose?
Choose sheer lining to keep the airy, light-filtering glow of the 100% linen, or polycotton when you want more daytime privacy. We don't offer blackout on sheer fabrics — a dark backing would cancel the translucency that makes Utopia special.

Is the chain control child-safe?
Yes — our corded design runs the operating cord fully enclosed in a wall-mounted cord channel, with no loose or looped cord. If you'd rather have no cord at all, choose the cordless or motorized mechanism instead.
